As Valentine's Day approaches, you can almost feel the flower companies ramping up--and tensing up. This is their busiest time of year. I used to drive a delivery van for a flower shop in another state, and they keep dropping hints that they'd like me to come back and drive for them this week. :)
From first-hand experience, I can tell you--don't wait until Valentine's Day to order flowers for your sweetheart, even if the website or florist says they can take last-minute orders. The closer it gets to the day, the more orders they have to deal with, and the better the chance that a last-minute order of flowers is going to fall through the cracks. The sooner you place the order, the easier it is for the company to prepare your arrangement and plan the delivery.
So no...this Valentine's Day I won't be delivering flowers. But trust me--order them early.
